From Charlie Magazine, December 2012
This trio of teen/tween brothers from Sullivan’s Island has a goal: they want to sell out Madison Square Garden in four minutes. This would beat Justin Bieber’s record of five.
Don’t put it past them. This summer, the elder twin brothers, Jack and Roger, turned 13 while recording their third record at Blackbird Studio in Nashville. They agree the five days of studio time was the best birthday present they could have asked for.
They’ve recently been flying around the country taking meetings and their mom is already fending off throngs of overeager girls pawning at their cubs. The Dudes think big, like taking their love of comic books and creating one about themselves. They intend to sell their new CD with the comic; a natural choice for a record with a track called Super Heroes.
The boys have worked with many of Charleston’s musical luminaries already. Sadler Vaden wrote some guitar parts on their second record and Elise Testone was once their vocal coach. Jay Clifford of Jump Little Children produced their latest record.
The brothers are thriving, expressive, lucky kids who have chops you have to see to believe. Cheers to “rock pop and roll!”
